Internet Sales Policy

At Hallmark Hardwoods we strive to achieve total customer satisfaction. We believe our manufacturing techniques and quality are the best in the business. An important component of quality is the service your local distributor and authorized dealer add to the product. Hardwood flooring is a big investment, which we believe is best protected and serviced through our authorized displaying dealer network. The removal of legitimate service costs results in tremendous risk to the purchasing public.

Consequently, Hallmark Hardwoods Inc. will not honor any claim for product purchased over the internet nor will we accept returns of such materials. It is critical that our customers have the full protection of our distributor-dealer network. Without the proper chain of custody the consumer is at risk of purchasing damaged product or in some cases counterfeit product. These are hard issues to resolve across state lines and from hundreds or thousands of miles away. Your local authorized dealer is located in your community and in a position to provide prompt local service. Your legal rights are also best protected at a local level. While we believe that the Internet is a useful tool for finding product information, it cannot replace the service and expertise offered by a local full service dealer.

Hallmark Hardwoods does not allow the use of our Trademark or links to the Hallmark Hardwoods web-site for the purpose of offering our product for sale on line. We do NOT include Internet Dealers in our Authorized Dealer Network, Dealers offering Hallmark for sale on line will be removed from our authorized dealer program. Our dealers are required to sell AND service the product on the local level from a storefront within driving distance of the project in question.

To qualify as an authorized dealer, a store must be registered as an authorized dealer with the local authorized distributor, have and maintain a current display, and offer a full array of installation services.

Hallmark Hardwoods Inc. will not honor warranty claims without prior inspection of the floor by an owner or direct employee of the original retailer and provide proof of purchase from a local authorized wholesaler, indicating that the material purchased was first quality Hallmark Hardwoods product. Should the retailer be unable to resolve the warranty issue a follow-up must be scheduled with the local authorized distributor and the installation professional who installed the floor. A floor installed by the homeowner is still eligible for full warranty protection but is held to the same standards of installation expected from a professional installer and to fully follow product installation instructions. In the event of D.I.Y homeowner installation, the selling dealer is responsible for provided initial warranty service call. Hallmark Hardwoods will not accept a report from an independent inspector or independent installer as a substitute for the original dealer owner or dealer employee inspection. NOTE: Careful consideration should be given to the fact that an on line retailer most likely will be unable to meet these requirements.
