We have led the way with Ultra low VOC ( Volatile Organic Compounds ) in our finish and core materials as well as responsibility in how we source the lumber that makes our floors so durable, easy to clean and beautiful.

Recently California has passed stringent requirements that exceed the US OSHA requirements referred to as C.A.R.B. or the California Air Resources Board. They have a Phase 1 and a Phase 2 requirements to allow manufacturers time to make the necessary changes to theses important air quality standard improvements. The evidence strongly suggests that the health of people living in a closed home is influenced by the VOC’s that are emitted by building materials.

Hallmark is proud to have been certified by the Regulatory agency responsible with certifying compliance, as having passed Phase 2 well before it is required. FACT: Hallmark passed these standards years ago and has verified US Based Independent testing to confirm this.

So while most companies ”suddenly“ become compliant and take the costly step of adapting their processes and only then state their belief in the reduction of VOC’s, Hallmark did it well before it became fashionable or required.
